Spent her days eating sweets
My name is Dulce Silva, I am 23 years old, I am Mexican and I live in Kentucky. I thought life was all about eating sweets. I spent my days eating sweet bread, candy, and sweetened sodas. And to top it all off, I had to be true to my Mexican roots, so at midnight I would eat some delicious tacos. For many years, I filled my body with a lot of junk food. I came to weight 160 pounds and was an extra-large size. I went through tough times because of my weight and still, all I did was eat and eat. I tried to cover my obesity by using black clothes and getting tattoos. Even though I was young, I didn’t feel like enjoying life. I would lock myself in “my cave” because I was tired of getting insulted by the people I loved the most. They even called me “fat old lady”. I reflected on my life and I came to the conclusion that the person that I have to love the most is myself. Thanks to my hero Alejandro Chaban, who has taught us how to transform ourselves, I decided that nothing would harm me and that I would get rid of all the toxic people, food, and habits of my life. As of today, I’ve lost 37 pounds. I feel free and light as the wind. I’ve learned to love my life, my tattoos and my new healthy lifestyle called Yes You Can!.
